Grapes: 100% old Syrah, matured in barrels and renewed by a third annually.
Appearance: beautiful deep and intense red robe with an orangey pink hue.
Aroma: marked by hints of pepper and garrigue, when inhaled it reveals hints of blackberries, blackcurrants, vanilla and liquorices.
Taste: a silky smooth flesh with two years worth of beautifully constructed tannin, it offers traces of red and black fruits, highlighted by sweet spices and bay leafs.
Peak: in 6 years, though still highly pleasurable to taste already.
Service temperature: 15-16 degrees centigrade.
Ideal for drinking with: veal chops with ceps and girolles; leg of deer served with a vegetable tian and stuffed courgettes.
